Our Vineyards
Accord Vineyards is nestled on Blue Mountain near Linden, Virginia, where our vineyards sit at over 1,800 feet of elevation overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. This landscape shapes everything we do, cooler temperatures, longer growing seasons, and wines that reflect both site and season with clarity and character.
What began in 2003 on the former Freezeland Orchard property with five acres of vines has grown with vineyards on Blue Mountain and Hume, Virginia. Today, we farm more than 20 acres in Fauquier County and continue to explore varietals that thrive in our unique elevation and climate.
In 2024, we planted Pinot Noir, Grüner Veltliner, and Aravelle at our Blue Mountain site, continuing our commitment to learning from the land and letting it guide what comes next.

At Accord Vineyards, winegrowing is a partnership between land, season, and craft. Owners Amanda and Whiticar Darvill work closely with consultant winemaker Tom Payette to produce small-lot, hand-crafted wines that reflect each vineyard site.

Our philosophy is simple—minimal intervention, careful attention, and respect for what the vineyard provides. We believe great wine begins in the soil and is guided, not forced, into the bottle.

Each year, we produce just over 2,000 cases across a focused portfolio of red and white varietals and blends, each intended to express place with honesty and balance.
Over the years, our wines have been recognized in regional and state competitions, including the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Competition and the Virginia Governor’s Cup, with selections such as Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio earning distinction for their quality and character.

While we are grateful for these honors, our focus remains the same—to grow thoughtfully, make deliberately, and create wines that come from and belong to this place.
Wine creation begins and ends in the vineyard. We invite you to experience it with us—whether in the tasting room overlooking Blue Mountain or shared in good company.
